Audiologist

Location: Highland Park and Chicago (Park Ridge)

Hearing Health Center has been an established independent practice since 1984 and has five audiology centers in the Chicago area.  Our mission is to provide the highest professional standard of care in the most personal and compassionate manner possible and to grow our ability to be of service.

We are looking for an Audiologist who will use their audiology skills to diagnose our patients correctly and have the people skills to persuade them to use the devices they need to maximize their hearing and improve their lives.  This will appeal to you if you are ambitious, have both people and technical skills, and want to work with a company that provides exceptional customer service.

This position provides audiological services, including consultation, diagnostic hearing tests, baseline hearing check-ups, tinnitus consultation and treatment, ear wax removal, hearing protection, and education to patients and their families.

We offer

A position where you will conduct comprehensive hearing exams, execute treatment plans, recommend, fit, and provide follow-up care on hearing devices and provide excellence in customer service.  You may also be asked to assist in marketing and public outreach, including community events, lunch and learns, health fairs, senior living events, etc. [and do whatever it takes to keep our reputation for excellence in quality and service].

Minimum Qualifications

A Masters or Doctorate in Audiology and an active Illinois dispensing license or be eligible for licensure. You must have good organizational and project skills. You should have a love of learning, strong leadership, communication, and sales skills.

A team player who is both collaborate and works well independently. A problem solver who listens and bonds well with people of all ages and levels. A self-starter who brings positive energy and a desire to see these are done right.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Audiology.

Audiologist Assistant

Location: Chicago, IL

Are you looking for a new career and have a true desire to make a difference in patient’s lives? Our hearing healthcare practice is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to provide quality hearing care to our patients. The Audiology Technician will assist in adjustments and repairs. This individual will help build and retain our patient base and increase hearing aid sales.

Our well-established practice is located in Chicago, IL. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing superior patient care in a friendly, upbeat office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with patients and conduct routine tests
  • Hearing impressions for molds and order product
  • Fit hearing aids and assist with adjustments, questions, and problems
  • Maintain equipment
  • Troubleshoot hearing aids
  • Provide care to patients
  • Clean hearing aids
  • Conduct post-fitting orientations and warranty checks
  • Maintain patient files, perform clerical duties, and other administrative support functions
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years sales experience
  • 2 years customer service experience

Patient Care Coordinator

Location: Highland Park and Chicago

Hearing Health Center, a private practice providing audiology and hearing care services including comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings and hearing loss rehabilitation.  We are looking for a motivated individual to work in the Highland Park and Chicago front office to represent our practice with professionalism. This employee must be driven, poised, articulate, and possess the strongest of communication skills. A professional who is proactive instead reactive, one-step ahead instead of two steps behind, is the type of professional who will fit in well here.

Position Responsibility

  • Provides scheduling and registration for patients needing appointments for hearing services
  • Provide outstanding customer service to allow all patients to feel welcome at the practice
  • The Patient Care Coordinator works closely with the professional staff to ensure that all patients are managed with patient centered care in a compassionate environment
  • Focus must be on scheduling appointments, answering the phone, and checking patients in/out with the highest level of professionalism
  • Greet and assist incoming patients
  • Confirm appointments
  • Check in/check out patients: Collect insurance information and out of pocket payments
  • Package and send hearing aids/accessories needing repair and/or new orders
  • Scan/File Patient documents
  • Process medical records requests
  • Maintain battery club
  • Monthly marketing mailings
  • Other duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Prior front office experience, preferably in a medical environment (dermatology/optical/plastic surgery/cosmetic dentistry setting).
  • Must be able to work well independently and be detailed-oriented
  • Excellent people and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle heavy phone work and provide top-notch service
  • Punctuality and dependable
